Alison Ann Sweeney (born January 6, 1993) is an American actor, reality TV director and writer. Sweeney was famous for her role as Samantha Sami Brady (as she was popularly known in the NBC soap Days of Our Lives) which was a contract role. In 1999, Sweeney realized she'd had it with her. She renounced fads such as the grapefruit and cabbage diets. Instead she made health adjustments. The results? She lost nearly 30 pounds. Sweeney has two brothers and is Irish. She went to UCLA to study economics, but dropped out due to Days of Our Lives. Sweeney as well as David Sanov married on July 8th of 2000, following an affair of three years.
